More than a month has passed since the initial release of "A Song Beyond Walls" and my, what a month it's been! For someone who has, really, never shared their work, this has been a tremendous exercise in both vulnerability and self-acceptance. When you make art, you blindly put yourself out into the world---but reviews are a reminder that your work has been received and (hopefully) appreciated. Though I will write more books and grow as an author, these reviews for ASBW will stay with me the entirety of my career (so, basically, the rest of my life). Thank you to all who have supported my work thus far. You have taught me how to be a better reader and supporter of the writing community.
Here are some of my favorite reviews so far:
I truly loved the words Gillian Dowell used to describe the ghost story romance, and I've been using the phrase ever since! "The joining of life and death has never been more romantic". Sigh. So eloquent. I'm honored more than I can express!
For those who may not be familiar with leaving book reviews but are interested, they are greatly appreciated on both Amazon and Goodreads!
Thank you all so much!
